Greek stocks ended flat in the Athens Stock Exchange on Friday with trading conditions remaining subdued for one more session. The general index of the market eased 0.14 pct to end at 844.12 points, off the day’s lows of 838.12 points. The index eased 0.23 pct in the week, losing 3.95 pct so far in February and rising 5.20 pct so far this year. The Large Cap index eased 0.04 pct and the Mid Cap index ending 0.31 pct higher. Turnover was a low 45.719 million euros in volume of 29,661,950 shares.
Lamda Development (3.07 pct), Terna Energy (2.78 pct) and PPC (2.30 pct) scored big gains among blue chip stocks, while Folli Follie (2.80 pct), Eurobank (2.17 pct) and National Bank (1.56 pct) suffered heavy losses. Among market sectors, Food (1.37 pct), Utilities (0.90 pct) and Constructions (0.57 pct) scored big gains, while Commerce (2.73 pct) and Health (1.98 pct) suffered losses.
National Bank and Eurobank were the most heavily traded securities of the day. Broadly, advancers led decliners by 62 to 51 with another 31 issues unchanged. Dionic (19.81 pct), Vioter (19.30 pct) and Sfakianakis (18.94 pct) were top gainers, while Livanis Publications (19.91 pct), Sidma (15.79 pct) and Minerva (9.42 pct) were top losers.
