Greek stocks ended flat in the last trading session of the week in the Athens Stock Exchange. The composite index of the market eased 0.04 pct to end at 648.59 points, after rising as much as 0.58 pct early in the day. The index ended the week with a net loss of 0.18 pct and stands 0.77 pct higher so far this year. The Large Cap index eased 0.03 pct and the Mid Cap index rose 0.12 pct. Turnover was a thin 29.342 million euros in volume of 68,131,690 shares.
Aegean Airlines (3.46 pct), Jumbo (1.74 pct) and Lamda Development (0.85 pct) were top gainers among blue chip stocks, while PPC(3.21 pct), Piraeus Bank (2.81 pct) and Terna Energy (2.07 pct) suffered heavy losses. Among market sectors, Personal Products (1.46 pct) and Commerce (0.77 pct) scored big gains, while Utilities (2.59 pct) and Financial Services (0.63 pct) suffered losses. National Bank and Piraeus Bank were the most heavily traded securities of the day. Broadly, advancers led decliners by 54 to 41 with another 39 issues unchanged. Minerva (25.66 pct), Pegasus (18.75 pct) and Forthnet (17.54 pct) were top gainers, while Leventeris (20 pct), Pairis (20 pct) and Lavipharm (15.56 pct) were top losers.
