Greek stocks ended higher in the ASE on Thursday

Greek stocks ended higher in the Athens Stock Exchange on Thursday, pushing the general index of the market above the 800-mark level once again. The index rose 0.85 pct to close at 806.08 points. The Large Cap index ended 0.53 pct higher and the Mid Cap index rose 1.32 pct. Turnover was a low 60.847 million euros in volume of 54,344,321 shares.

Grivalia Properties (3.95 pct), Eurobank (3.01 pct) and Piraeus Bank (2.97 pct) scored big gains among blue chip stocks, while Aegean Airlines (0.98 pct), Coca Cola HBC (0.89 pct) and National Bank (0.73 pct) suffered heavy losses. Among market sectors, Technology (3.37 pct), Personal Products (2.13 pct) and Oil (1.94 pct) scored big gains, while Health (3.33 pct) and Food (0.89 pct) suffered losses. National Bank and Eurobank were the most heavily traded securities of the day. Broadly, advancers led decliners by 65 to 51 with another 18 issues unchanged. Leventeris (23.81 pct), Chatzikraniotis (20 pct) and Dionic (19.19 pct) were top gainers, while Pairis (27.99 pct), Kreka (19 pct) and Euromedica (15.87 pct) were top losers.
