Greek stocks ended lower in the ASE on Thursday

Greek stocks ended lower in the Athens Stock Exchange on Thursday pushing the general index of the market below the 750-point level. The index fell 0.79 pct to end at 744.80 points. The Large Cap index fell 1.01 pct and the Mid Cap index eased 0.90 pct. Turnover was a low 33 million euros in volume of 42.8 million shares.

ADMIE (2.79 pct) and Grivalia Properties (1.24 pct) scored big gains among blue chip stocks, while Attica Bank (10.71 pct) and Folli Follie (3.06 pct) suffered heavy losses. Among market sectors, Utilities (1.49 pct) and Construction (0.57 pct) scored big gains, while Commerce (3.02 pct) and Chemicals (1.92 pct) suffered losses. National Bank (and Attica Bank were the most heavily traded securities of the day. Broadly, decliners led advancers by 69 to 39 with another 132 issues unchanged. Motodynamic (21.02 pct), GEKE (19.53 pct) and Nafpaktos Spin Mills (9.70 pct) were top gainers, while Audiovisual (10.80 pct), Attica Bank (10.71 pct) and Intel (10 pct) were top losers.
