Greek stocks ended slightly higher in the ASE on Tuesday

Greek stocks ended slightly higher in the Athens Stock Exchange on Tuesday, with the main index closing at 783.99 points, a rise of 0.03 pct, staying the course of an upward trend in five sessions and absorbing the pressure dominating the session. The Large Cap index rose 0,04 pct and the Mid Cap index ended 0,85 pct higher. Turnover was at 58.4 million euros in a volume of 56.3 million shares.

Piraeus (+3.73 pct) and Titan (+1.64 pct) scored big gains among blue chip stocks, while Terna Energy (-2.62 pct) and ELPE (-2.11 pct) suffered losses. Among market sectors, Health (+6.06 pct) and Chemicals (+1.21 pct) scored big gains, while Oil (-1.95 pct) and Trade (-1.40 pct) suffered losses.

National Bank (23.9 mln shares) and Eurobank (7.5 mln shares) were the most heavily traded securities of the day while OTE (7.8 mln euros) and National Bank (7.4 mln euros) registered the highest turnover. Broadly, advancers led decliners by 48 to 45 with another 150 issues unchanged. Attica Group (+9.42 pct), Kordelou (+9.09 pct) and Epilektos (+6.71 pct) were top gainers, while Pairis (-8.57 pct), Elton (-5.95 pct) and Karatzis (-4.76 pct) were top losers.
