Greek stocks ended slightly lower in the Athens Stock Exchange on Wednesday, with the general index of the market falling 0.19 pct to end at 603.11 points, off the day’s lows of 601.70 points. The Large Cap index rose 0.23 pct and the Mid Cap index eased 3.17 pct. Turnover was 37.009 million euros in volume of 31,164,996 shares.
Aegean Airlines (3.04 pct), National Bank (2.15 pct) and Coca Cola HBC (1.66 pct) scored big gains among blue chip stocks, while Piraeus Bank (5.54 pct), Viohalco (2.18 pct) and OPAP (1.83 pct) suffered heavy losses. Among market sectors, Food (1.64 pct) and Personal Products (1.34 pct) scored gains, while Technology (6.73 pct) and Raw Materials (2.54 pct) suffered losses. Eurobank and Alpha Bank were the most heavily traded securities of the day. Broadly, decliners led advancers by 50 to 34 with another 36 issues unchanged.
Lazaridis Domaine (9.56 pct), Haidemenos (6.93 pct) and Reds (6.16 pct) were top gainers, while Intralot (26.89 pct), Tzirakian (25.23 pct) and Intertek (24.81 pct) were top losers.
