Greek stocks ended slightly lower in the Athens Stock Exchange as investors preferred to take profits after last week’s rally but the market remained around its 52-week highs. The composite index eased 0.15 pct to end at 559.33 points, with the Large Cap index falling 0.24 pct and the Mid Cap index ending 1.99 pct higher. Turnover was a low 41.11 million euros in volume of 58,490,000 shares.
Viohalco (5.07 pct), Lamda Development (3.84 pct) and Sarantis (2.56 pct) scored the biggest percentage gains of the day among blue chip stocks, while Jumbo (2.74 pct), Titan (1.56 pct) and Alpha Bank (1.51 pct) suffered heavy losses.
Among market sectors, Real Estate (2.44 pct) and Food/Beverage (1.39 pct) scored big gains, while Personal Products (1.74 pct) and Banks (1.15 pct) suffered losses.
National Bank and Cyprus Bank were the most heavily traded securities of the day. Broadly, advancers led decliners by 60 to 48 with another 14 issues unchanged. Pairis (29.63 pct), Elgeka (9.92 pct) and Ilyda (9.90 pct) were top gainers, while Revoil (11.83 pct), Leventeris (10 pct) and FG Europe (10 pct) were top losers.

Greek bond market closing report
The yield spread between the 10-year Greek and German benchmark bonds was almost unchanged at 6.58 pct in the domestic electronic secondary bond market on Monday, with the Greek bond yielding 6.58 pct and the German Bund yielding 0.28 pct. Turnover was a thin 1.0 million euros.
In interbank markets, interest rates were largely unchanged. the 12-month rate fell to -0.088 pct from -0.082 pct, the nine-month rate was -0.148 pct, the six-month rate was -0.223 pct, the three-month rate was -0.316 pct and the one-month rate was -0.371 pct.
