Greek stocks ended up amid low turnover in the Athens Stock Exchange on Tuesday, with the general index of the market gaining 0.45 pct to close at 822.77 points, after fluctuating between lows of 814.91 points and highs of 823.13 points during the session.
The Large Cap index rose 0.18 pct and the Mid Cap index ended 1.34 pct higher. Turnover was a low 44.901 million euros in volume of 46,667,463 shares.
Viohalco (10.73 pct), Lamda Development (4.49 pct) and Eurobank (3.35 pct) were top gainers among blue chip stocks, while PPC (6.09 pct), Grivalia Properties (2.34 pct) and Coca Cola HBC (2.01 pct) suffered heavy losses. Among market sectors, Industrial Products (3.78 pct) and Health (3.76 pct) scored gains, while Utilities (3.23 pct) and Foods (2.00 pct) suffered losses.
Piraeus Bank and National Bank were the most heavily traded securities of the day. Broadly, advancers led decliners by 65 to 44 with another 26 issues unchanged. Euroconsultants (20.45 pct), Pigasos (19.57 pct) and Euromedica (18.92 pct) scored big gains, while Dionic (19.83 pct), Domiki Kritis (17.53 pct) and GE Demetriou (16.67 pct) were top losers.
