Hellenic Petroleum announce EGM on July 6 for DESFA sale

Hellenic Petroleum (HELPE) called on Wednesday for an extraordinary general meeting of its shareholders on July 6 to approve a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Greece’s privatization fund (HRADF) and the Greek State, for the joint sale of their stake in gas network operator DESFA.

HELPE own a 35 percent stake in DESFA while the State holds 31 percent. The sale is part of Greece’s obligations arising from the bailout program signed with the country’s lenders.

The EGM will be held at the company’s premises in Aspropyrgos, at 10:00.
