Payroll cost index grew 0.6 pct in the Greek economy

Payroll cost index grew 0.6 pct in the Greek economy, excluding the primary sector and household activities, in the second quarter of 2017 compared with the same period last year, after a 4.1 pct increase recorded in the 2016/2015 corresponding period, Hellenic Statistical Authority said on Monday.

The statistics service, in a report, said that the payroll cost index -seasonally adjusted- grew 0.5 pct in the second quarter, year-on-year, after a 4.6 pct increase recorded in the 2016/2015 period.
The index, based on corrections on the number of working days, grew 0.6 pct in the second quarter, compared with the same period in 2016, after a 4.1 pct increase recorded in the 2016/2015 period.
