Hellenic Sugar Industry expects to receive binding bids in a tender for the sale of its two factories in Serbia on June 30, 2017, the president of the company Antonis Chatzidiamantis said in statements to the Athens Macedonian News Agency.
He underlined that there is strong interest from several companies which will be made public in the next few days.
The investors that have expressed interest to purchase the two factories are from Western Europe and Serbia.
Chatzidiamantis explained that the aim is to conclude the procedure as soon as possible. Asked about the price, he said: “We seek the best possible binding offers.”
The tender to sell AD Fabrica Secera Sajkaska Zabali and Crevnka Fabrica Secera AD Crevnka was launched in January 2017. Hellenic Sugar Industry owns 92.6 pct and 87.5 pct of the two companies’ equity capital, respectively.
