As of Thursday, the ‘click away’ shopping option (ordering goods online and picking them up by appointment outside the shop) will stop, the Secretary General of Commerce and Consumer Protection Panagiotis Stampoulidis said on Wednesday. He said the measures governing the operation of the market will remain in force from Thursday until Sunday, February 28.

Specifically, as the Secretary General said, the shops that will operate with a physical presence from tomorrow are: food stores (supermarkets, mini-markets, bakeries), open-air street markets, pharmacies, pet shops, telecommunications companies (exclusively for the repair of appliances and the payment of bills), hearing aids and wig stores, (by appointment), florists (especially for 13-14/2/2021). All other retail businesses are restricted to electronic sales only (e-shops).

Laundries, fuel stations, KTEO (motor vehicle safety testing centres) and motor vehicle servicing and repair garages will remain in operation.

Kiosks will be permitted to operate on a 24-hour basis while personal beauty care services (hair removal, UV treatment, etc.) are also suspended, even these are offered in medical facilities, such as clinics and medical centres.
