I consider the agreement a one-way road, Energy Min Stathakis says

I consider the agreement a one-way road and I think there is no room for following another road and getting into a period of instability, Environment and Energy Minister George Stathakis said on Sunday in an interview with RealNews.

Stathakis estimated that it is in the interest of everyone to reach an agreement. Greece’s participation in the ECB’s quantitative easing programme is a necessary condition for returning to markets, he said adding that the return to the markets is a necessary condition for exiting the memoranda.

The minister said he is optimistic over the debt issue and expressed the hope that “even informally, there will be an elementary consensus framework” between the government and the opposition.
