Independent Greeks to decide national election stance on June 9

The Independent Greeks (ANEL) party, former junior partner of a coalition with SYRIZA, said on Monday they would hold a national council meeting on June 9 to decide on their stance for the upcoming national elections.

At a meeting on Monday that reviewed Sunday’s results in the second round of regional and local government elections, the party said that the June 9 date was based on the premise that national elections would be held on July 7, and would change otherwise.
