Inter-ministerial committe to discuss Greece’s industrial policy

The Inter-ministerial Committee for Industrial Policy is scheduled to convene early on Thursday with an agenda of policies to further reduce the energy cost of industrial companies, to embolden entrepreneurship, as well as to connect scientific research with the production side of the economy.

The meeting of the inter-ministerial committee will be headed by the Development and Competitiveness Minister Nikos Dendias, to be attended also by the Finance Minister Gikas Hardouvelis, the Environment, Energy and Climate Change Minister Yiannis Maniatis, as well as the Labour, Social Security and Welfare Minister Yiannis Vroutsis.

Due to their competence as regards the issues to be discussed, the meeting will also be attended by the Education Minister Andreas Loverdos, the Deputy Development Minister Odysseas Konstantinopoulos, the Deputy Environment Minister Asimakis Papageorgiou and the Secretary General for Research and Technology Christos Vassilakos. The chairman and honorary chairman of the Hellenic Federation of Enterprises (SEV), Theodore Fessas and Dimitris Daskalopoulos respectively, will also join the meeting.
