Interior Min Skourletis: Greece will not accept absurd measures that will harm the citizens

The Greek government is not willing to accept absurd measures that will harm the citizens, Interior Minister Panos Skourletis on Saturday said in an interview with Imerissia newspaper.

Skourletis also said that the current situation is not similar to the situation in 2015.

Referring to the outcome of the negotiations, he said that the IMF stance (whether it will stay in the programme or not) will play an important role. As he said, “we are at that point that everyone holds a non-flexible stance, but hopefully more moderate voices will ultimately prevail.”

Skourletis added that the Greek problem may seem small compared to what the EU is facing, but what is proposed in order to address the most extreme circles of the creditors can destroy Europe.
