Interior Minister Panos Skourletis said on Tuesday he believed the strike of municipal garbage collectors in Greece will “de-escalate” by Thursday at the latest, as uncollected trash formed piles in the streets.
Speaking to the Athens-Macedonian News Agency, he said the government will do all it can to protect public health and criticized New Democracy for promoting “business interests” in sanitation.
