It is very important to proceed with the increase of the minimum wage, says Labour Min

Labour Minister Efi Achtsioglou referred to the workers’ rights and the government plans for the post-memorandum era, addressing the 10th Regional Congress for Productive Reconstruction that is held in the city of Tripolis on Tuesday.

The first priority is to create the conditions for a fair labour market so that the salaries increase while laying the foundations for the existence of a social state, said the minister.

Referring to the economy and the reduction of unemployment, Achtsioglou said that for the first time in 2017 there were positive growth rates close to 1,7 percent and a decade-record in the private investments in 2017. After the completion of the fiscal adjustment programme it is the adjustement of the minumum wage, she said.
