Jail council rejects 17 Nov. terrorist Koufodinas’ request for another furlough

A request by convicted 17 November terrorist Dimitris Koufodinas for a nine-day furlough from the working prison in Volos area, central Greece, was rejected again on Tuesday.

Koufodinas has been held at the Kassavetia jail of Volos since August 2018, after a transfer from the Korydallos prison near Piraeus.

The Kassavetia council rejected his request, which must now be considered by a council of judges in Volos proper for a final decision.

Koufodinas has been sentenced to 11 life sentences plus 25 years in prison for his part in murders carried out by 17N. He has received a total of eight furloughs between 2017 and 2019.
