Justice minister approves infrastructure upgrades in three Greek jails

Justice Minister Stavros Kontonis approved improvement projects for three jails in Greece, on Monday.

Kontonis said that the plans for the projects were already completed.

Improvements include day-release spaces for prisoners, upgraded electrical installations in one wing and new insulation in the women’s wing in Korydallos, spaces for staff training in the women’s jail of Eleonas, near Thebes, and a sewage-pipe installation in Agia, near Chania on Crete.
