“Better late than never! The government has finally forcibly enlisted private sector doctors to assist the new Covid clinics in the hospitals. As we had suggested,” the Movement for Change (KINAL) party said in a statement on Monday.
However, it underlined that it is not enough, as “it is necessary to proceed with the requisitioning of the private clinics – and especially the large ones that are fully equipped – in order for the national health system to have room to breathe.”
“It is unacceptable, at a time when we have intubated patients outside ICUs and waiting lists for a bed, for the private health sector to not fully participate in the effort,” KINAL said.
