KKE condemns policing of notarial offices handling foreclosure auctions

The Communist Party of Greece (KKE) condemned what it called “a climate of policing and authoritarianism the government has once again imposed outside buildings housing notary offices” that deal with foreclosure auctions.

The party charged the police with attacking protesters and members of its affiliated labor union, PAME, with chemicals, while, it said, “in other cases they question and check citizens who wish to enter the buildings.”

KKE said these actions “will not frighten the people and especially those resisting the auctions, planned at the expense of people’s assets.”
