KKE lashes at government over economic support measures

“The already known – and mainly inadequate – measures announced by the government to support small-sized enterprises do not compensate in the least for the loss of income and the deadlocks that it has created with its criminal choices in managing the pandemic,” the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) said on Monday, commenting on the latest announcements of the government.

“It ostentatiously ignores the demands of entrepreneurs, in the name of the ‘resilience’ of the economy, and at the same time, it distributes billions to a handful of business groups,” he added.

“Real relief [is given by] the bill submitted by KKE for a generous debt write-off, for substantial support of the income of the self-employed through the provision of a monthly allowance of 1,000 euros, and for a reduction of taxation and the introduction of a tax-free limit of 12,000 euros,” it underlined.
