KKE: Tsipras’ efforts to tout nonexistent growth model provoke only laughter

In a scathing attack on Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras following his visit to the Apivita cosmetics factory on Monday, the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) commented that his efforts to present a “non-existent” worker-friendly growth model could only generate mirth.

“On the day when the discussion begins on the third review and a new round of attacks on popular rights, Mr. Tsipras interventions can only provoke laughter…continuing the role he has recently undertaken as a ‘promoter of capitalist enterprises’ he is trying to present a nonexistent ‘model’ of growth that supposedly does not consider capitalist profit an end in itself and does not exploit the workers,” KKE said.

“As regards the agricultural sector, this model supposedly uses the productive capabilities of the country when it is precisely these capabilities that have been undermined as a result of EU policies and the interests of capital, which Mr. Tsipras today clearly defended,” the party added.
