Kotzias says Tusk comment on Turkey was ‘most accurate ever’ by EU

Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias said on Monday he is pleased with the recent statement by European Council President Donald Tusk on Greek-Turkish relations, noting the EU has made clear that good neighbourly relations and respect for international law are a precondition for Turkey’s path towards Europe.

“I think it was the best and most accurate statement ever made by the European Union on Greek-Turkish relations because it makes it clear that good neighbourly relations and respect for international law is the prerequisite for any European path for Turkey,” he said on Tusk’s comment, after a meeting of the Foreign Affairs Council in Brussels.
