M. Draghi: The current momentum in finding a solution for Greece’s debt must not be lost

The current momentum in finding a solution for Greece’s debt must not be lost, European Central Bank Governor Mario Draghi said on Monday during an appearance at a European Parliament committee in Brussels.

Asked by SYRIZA MEP Dimitris Papadimoulis to comment on statements that talks on the country’s debt could delay up to two years, he replied: “Greek people have made a great progress in the last few months … it is important not to disrupt this progress.”

Draghi then added that the best result would be to successfully complete the second program review, noting there are good prospects on that. “It is important not to lose the momentum,” he said.
