Meetings continuing between heads of missions and ministers in Athens

The scheduled negotiations with Greece’s creditors at the ministries are proceeding “smoothly”, a high-level source at the finance ministry said on Wednesday.

The mission chiefs of the institutions arrived in Athens on Monday for talks on the fourth review of Greece’s adjustment program and are scheduled to hold meetings with ministers throughout the day. Talks will continue on Thursday morning, with the representatives scheduled to depart Athens midday.

According to the same source, Alternate Finance Minister George Chouliarakis will represent Greece at Thursday’s the Euro Working Group meeting, which is expected to provide an update on the negotiations and to discuss the technical-level talks held on the issue of debt relief.
