“As long as this government remains in power, it will be a government of damage,” main opposition New Democracy (ND) leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis said on Sunday in a party conference.
Mitsotakis estimated that the measures taken will not give a definite solution to the problems of the economy adding that the 5.4 billion euro package of measures along with the 3.6 billion euro contingent measures are the result of the prime minister’s political lack of credibility.
He explained that the policy followed is completed wrong and stressed that he asked for elections with great responsibility. “Whatever the cost of early elections, it will be less that the cost of the government remaining in power. The call for early elections is timely and will remain timely because this government does not deal with the problems of the citizens. The sooner it leaves, the better for this place,” he concluded.
