PM: I briefed my counterparts in detail about the Greek-French agreement

“I had the opportunity at last night’s dinner to brief my counterparts in detail about the very important strategic partnership agreement that Greece signed with France and noted that this agreement significantly strengthens Europe’s potential to build its own defense pillar inside NATO,” Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis underlined in a statement in Slovenia on Wednesday, where he participated in the EU-Western Balkans Summit.

He pointed out that it was a very important agreement which geopolitically upgrades the country’s position and was also accompanied by a very important investment for the modernization of the Greek Armed Forces, particularly the Hellenic Navy.

“I repeat that we are buying the best ships at the best possible price and with fastest delivery time,”
