EU Commissioner for Economic and Financial Affairs, Taxation and Customs Pierre Moscovici will be in Athens on Tuesday.
The visit follows a comprehensive agreement reached at the Eurogroup meeting on June 21, which provides the basis for the successful completion of the stability programme for Greece in August, European sources said.
Commissioner Moscovici will hold a series of meetings during his visit to Athens. He will meet President Prokopios Pavlopoulos, at 09:45, Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras, at 13:15, parliament President Nikos Voutsis, at 11:15 and Finance Minister Euclid Tsakalotos, at 10:00. He will also meet New Democracy leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis, at 14:30 and PASOK leader and head of the ‘Movement for Change’ Fofi Gennimata, at 15:20.
Commissioner Moscovici will also participate in an exchange of views with members of the Greek Parliament, at 11:30. He will also speak at the joint meeting of the Special Sustainable Commission on European Affairs, the Standing Committee on National Defence and Foreign Affairs, and the Standing Committee on Economic Affairs on “A New Chapter for Greece”.
