Municipal halfway house for the drug-addicted homeless in Athens quarantined after one confirmed Covid-19 infection

The Athens Municipality’s halfway house for homeless people who are addicted to drugs or other substances has been quarantined after one Covid-19 case was confirmed there on Thursday, with immediate notification to both the National Public Health Organization (EODY) and the Civil Protection Secretariat.

EODY will now test all 80 of the facility’s beneficiaries and the 33 members of staff – who include 2 doctors and 6 nurses, was reported.
