N. Voutsis: The present government will achieve its goals

The present government will achieve its goals, which are that the country will recover with society still standing on its feet, Parliament President Nikos Voutsis said on Saturday, in statements to the state broadcaster ERT.

He categorically ruled out the possibility of a new government with an ‘ecumenical’ prime minister, noting that this was a scenario put about by those seeking to “dictate political developments.”

A road map that will include a settlement on the debt, the Juncker investment package, the use of the NSRF funds and a healthy climate for investments that leave added value will be decided and followed by the present government, he said.

“There will be an assessment at the end and I hope that this end is a happy one, for the country, its political life and for the left,” he added.
