ND’s Dendias hopes that FYROM referendum outcome will not cause instability

“Let’s hope that whatever the outcome, there will be no instability in the neighboring country after the referendum and will not be converted into instability on the Balkans,” main opposition New Democracy (ND) parliamentary spokesman Nikos Dendias said on Sunday in an interview with the Athens-Macedonian News Agency (ANA).

Apart from the outcome, he added, the participation of the people will also play an important role.

“In any case we have to be on alert for the political developments in the neighboring country in relation to the referendum and not rush to discount them,” he said and added that Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras will bring the agreement in the parliament when he is ready for elections.

Regarding the pensions, he said that it is unreasonable to vote for pension cuts and then announcing that ‘the government will do its best so as not be implemented.’
