Nearly a third of Greek population has completed vaccination, says health official

A 31 pct of Greece’s population has completed their coronavirus vaccination, while a 43 pct has been inoculated with at least one dose, Health Secretary General Marios Themistocleous said.

The health official also said that the number of doctors and nurses who were vaccinated had risen significantly, and he detailed them as follows.

Vaccination percentages in the NHS:
– Doctors, 86 pct
– Nurses, 67 pct
– Other medical staff, 69 pct

In the private sector:
– Doctors, 91 pct
– Nurses, 73 pct
– Other medical staff, 70 pct

Finally, people who have been administered the first dose of a vaccine outside of Greece can book their second-dose appointment at Citizen Services Centers (KEP) by submitting their vaccination certificate, noted Themistocleous.

He added that people are keeping their appointments for all vaccines (AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson), from 97% to 98%.
