The updated skills descriptions for civil service positions will be completed within 2021, Interior Minister Panagiotis Theodorikakos told a parliamentary committee on Friday.
The committee is considering the government’s draft plan upgrading the state testing and hiring agency, ASEP.
Responding to queries by parties, Theodorikakos said that the upgrade of the skills requirements descriptions within 2021 and ASEP’s reform will be applied in 2022. The first written examinations for state positions will be held “the latest by the third quarter of 2022,” he clarified, adding that the draft bill on ASEP ensures the filling of positions with the right person.
Selection will focus on the written national examination, which will be held every two years, he added.
