“Oceanis” cold front: Strong winds cause disruptions to ferry links across Greece

Rain, sleet and snow are forecast for Monday. Wind velocity will reach 10 on the Beaufort scale. Clouds and snowfall in the northern and western parts of the country with temperatures ranging from -04C to 11C. Clouds, scattered rain, sleet and possibly rainstorms in the eastern parts, with temperatures between -02C and 08C.

Ships remained docked at the ports of Piraeus, Rafina and Lavrio on Monday, due to strong northeasterly winds reaching up to 10 on the Beaufort scale.

The Rio-Antirrio, Keramoti-Kavala-Thassos, Alexandroupolis-Samothrace ferry links do not operate.

However, ferries to the Saronic Gulf left on Monday morning.
