OECD will hold ministerial meeting in Athens on March 19-20

The Organisation for the Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) will hold a ministerial meeting in Athens on March 19-20 on the regional policy topic “Megatrends: Building better futures for regions, cities and rural areas.”

The meeting will be held at the Athens Concert Hall Congress Centre with over 220 participants attending, among them approximately 60 heads of delegations, of which 20 will be ministers.

A parallel event involving a roundtable discussion between ministers and mayors will take place at that same venue on March 19, from 09:00 to 12:.

During the two-day meeting the ministers will discuss the challenges and opportunities presented to the regions, cities and rural areas, the major international trends (globalisation, digitalisation, climate change, demographic issues) and finally to form policies for their management.
