OPAP rapidly implements Vision 2020 strategy

OPAP Group on Thursday reported significant progress in implementing its strategy on technology and technological improvements in its agent network and digital environment
In the framework of implementing a Vision 2020 strategy, OPAP revised its IT strategy in 2016 and this year it began an extensive programme to upgrade the role of technology in the organisation with the aim of ensuring modern, top-of-the-range solutions for all existing activities of the group, as well as laying the foundations for implementing future strategies.

OPAP, following the successful launch of virtual games sports betting and SSBTs in 2017 is in the process of introducing a new Playtech BGT Sports platform for betting, using Novomatic as its main supplier of equipment.

The company recently agreed to expand its cooperation with Intralot on lotteries. Novomatic agreed to support this strategic choice. The new agreement envisages a new lottery platform.

OPAP cooperated with Novomatic in the delivery of a Player Account Management system offering OPAP even greater control over its future plans to manage its relations with customers. The Group said that a new internet betting platform by Betgenius was expected in the first quarter of 2018.

OPAP has launched an investment programme worth more than 100 million euros.
