The ministry is not planning to fully liberalise shop opening hours, Development and Investment Minister Adonis Georgiades said on Monday in an interview with SKAI TV.
Asked if the ministry plans to allow stores to open on all Sundays in the year, he replied: “I want to be absolutely clear, no. There is no such discussion at the Ministry. This issue has been settled by the previous government.”
“Greece’s business world is divided on this issue. We have launched several initiatives at the development ministry but this one (opening on Sundays) is not one of them,” he clarified.
