A Pakistani national, 27, was arrested for kidnapping a young fellow-national for ransom, Greek police said on Thursday.
The minor had been abducted in the area of the Larissis train station in Athens on Sunday by two fellow-Pakistanis aged 27 and 31. The men held the boy at a house, demanding ransom from his relatives in Pakistan.
Following information, police found the boy in the Patissia area of Athens and arrested one of the two kidnappers. The man was led before a criminal court prosecutor who referred him to an investigating magistrate, while the search for his accomplices continues.
