The Dutch business community believes Greece presents great interest for investments, the Dutch Ambassador to Greece Caspar Veldkamp told Greek Economy Minister Dimitris Papadimitriou during a meeting on Tuesday.
Veldkamp told the minister Dutch investors are interested in the sectors of agro-nutrition, energy, innovation and services, noting that his country’s Finance Minister, Jeroen Dijsselbloem, sees Greece as a “European issue”.
The two sides focused on the results of Monday’s Eurogroup and the imminent completion of the second program review and Papadimitriou presented the government’s initiatives that will allow the economy to return to growth. The minister said the country has turned a page which is evident in the increasing interest or investments and hailed the embassy’s continued support for Greek startups though its “Orange Grove” initiative.
Papadimitriou and Veldkamp will meet again in the beginning of March when he will meet with representatives of Dutch companies operating in Greece to promote tighter economic relations between the two countries.
