Parliament decides not to extend the state budget supervisor’s tenure

The Parliament’s Committee on the Standing Orders has decided not to renew the tenure of Panagiotis Liargovas, who heads the office of the state’s budget supervision, it was announced on Wednesday.
The decision was made at a meeting of parliamentary vice presidents chaired by Parliament President Nikos Voutsis.

According to the committee, Liargovas – whose duties ended at the end of November – will remain in place until a replacement is found.
