Parliament to decide on action against Golden Dawn MP after insulting comments

The Greek parliament’s Ethics Committee agreed unanimously to refer Golden Dawn MP Elias Kassidiaris to the plenum for a vote on a motion of censure for anti-parliamentary behavior after he made insulting comments against Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias and other lawmakers during a debate on the government’s negotiations over the FYROM name row.

Speaking at the Standing Committee on National Defense and Foreign Affairs Kasidiaris reportedly shouted that “those who betray [the country] today, will be breaking stones in hard labour when the national government comes to power.”

If the plenum approves the motion, then Kasidiaris will lose ΒΌ of his monthly MP pay.
