The flight of young people from Greece in search of jobs was “a huge problem,” Greek President Prokopios Pavlopoulos stressed while opening the proceedings of the 86th Reunion of Hellenic Universities at the Zappeion Mansion on Friday.
“One of the biggest problems is the fact that a large number of the young people who have studied at universities cannot be absorbed in the labour market and are forced to leave the country. This is a huge problem. Of course, these people excel abroad. This was always the case. But now we need these people to stay here,” Pavlopoulos underlined.
The president stated that the government and Greece’s democratic political forces are working together to find a solution to this problem.
