Peppas appointed as the new chief justice of Greece’s Supreme Court

The cabinet on Monday appointed Vassilios Peppas as the new President of Greece’s Supreme Court (Areios Paghos), in accordance with the recommendation of the appropriate minister.

In a statement after his appointment, Peppas said: “The efficient operation of justice, with all that this implies, is a long-standing and urgent demand of our fellow citizens and the State. We will make every effort to satisfy this demand.”
