Piraeus Bank announces new voluntary exit programme for its workers

Piraeus Bank on Monday announced a new and pioneering voluntary exit programme for its workers as part of a plan to reduce operating costs by around 150 million euros in the 2019-2021 period.

The programme will focus on specific sectors offering workers of certain units and subsidiaries of the bank the option to voluntarily leave their jobs and receive a lump sum in compensation, while at the same time being included in a vocational training programme that teaches them new skills that are needed in the new environment of the financial sector, for example as insurance brokers, financial consultants or independent brokers of financial services.
