Pitsiorlas presents investment opportunities to Italian businessmen

Greek Economy and Development Deputy Minister Stergios Pitsiorlas presented investment opportunities in the country, particularly in the sectors of energy, shipping and infrastructure, during a meeting with some of the biggest business groups of Italy in Rome.

Pitsiorlas met, on the first day of an official visit to Italy, with Foreign Affairs Deputy Minister Vincenzo Amendola and ENEL’s CEO Francesco Starace and discussed with Emannuele Grimaldi, chairman of Confitarma, the Italian Shipowners Union. Grimaldi is also CEO of Grimaldi Group and chairman of Minoan Lines.

The Greek minister also met with Pietro Spirito, president of Assoporti, the Italian Ports Union and met with Carlo Carganico, CEO of Italfer and head of Ferrovie Dello Stato Italiane. FS has signed an agreement to buy TrainOSE.

Pitsiorlas also met with the chairman of Anas SpA and and vice-president of Eni SpA.
