Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis is heading to Croatia’s capital Zagreb to attend the European People’s Party (EPP) Statutory Congress on November 20-21.
The congress is expected to discuss developments in the western Balkans, support policies for European youth as well as climate change.
A new EPP leadership will also be elected during the Zagreb congress.
The PM’s schedule follows, in Athens time:
At 4:00 pm on Wednesday Mitsotakis will speak as a special guest at an event on youth participation in European politics. At 5:45 pm he will participate in a discussion panel held by newly elected EPP MEPs. At 9:00 pm he will attend the EPP summit of heads of state and government and opposition leaders.
On the same day Mitsotakis will also meet with the European Union’s chief Brexit negotiator Michel Barnier, with Romanian Prime Minister Ludovic Orban, with Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg and with the former Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz.
At 9:00 am on Thursday Mitsotakis will meet with his Croatian counterpart Andrej Plenkovic, after which he will attend a climate change panel at 11:00 am.
Greek Premier Mitsotakis will then deliver his keynote speech at 12:50 pm on Thursday.
