PM Tsipras had a brief encounter with US President Barack Obama

Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras had a brief encounter with US President Barack Obama during the United Nations General Assembly week.

President Obama approached the Greek Prime Minister during a lunch, hosted by the United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon on September 28th.

The US President congratulated PM Tsipras on his reelection and told him that they will meet again later in the evening, during the dinner Obama is hosting for the heads of the various attending nations.

Earlier in the day, Tsipras had conversations with other leaders including Cuba’s Raul Castro, Brazil’s Dilma Rousseff and Ecuador’s Rafael Correa.
