Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras met with Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy on the sidelines of the 2nd EU Mediterranean countries summit that is held in Lisbon.
Their meeting focused on Europe’s problems, the economy and the refugees issue.
The need for a close cooperation between the two governments was also noted during the meeting, said government sources.
Tsipras referred to the positive developments recorded in the Greek economy and the need for more solidarity in the European Union and particularly on the refugees issue. Moreover, he briefed Rajoy on the Cyprus issue.
The same sources said that both leaders agreed to be in close contact.
